D.A.V. Public School, Majhgawan, Panna (A Senior Secondary School Affiliated to CBSE Delhi, Affiliation No-1030052) was started in the Year 1992, under an agreement between Diamond Mining Project, Majhgawan Panna, a Project of National Mineral Development Corporation Limited, Hyderabad, with DAV College Trust and Society, New Delhi, for the purpose of providing educational facilities for the wards and dependents of employees of the project and others in vicinity of Majhgawan. The School is situated 15 Km.s inside the Panna Tiger Reserve, Panna, in the township of the project at Majhgawan.
Initially, the school was an English Medium Public School, but later on in pursuance of a request of the project the DAV Society agreed to set up parallel Hindi Medium Sections, from the academic session 2001-02, for the benefit of the children of the employees of the project and villagers in the vicinity of the project.
School has a unifying vision and mission that is reflected in all school practices & structures, including curriculum, policies, and schedules etc.
